Year 1's Fire Education

6/07/2015
There was great excitement when the firemen from the Nambour Station visited our school to deliver a fun educational program to the year one children. The children learnt about the importance of smoke alarms, to STOP,  DROP and ROLL if their clothes are on fire and to get down low and go, go, go towards exits to escape the fire. They also learnt that when a fireman is dressed up in his big fireproof suit and talking through a breathing mask he is there to help you and not someone to be afraid of. The highlight of the visit was getting a close up look at the fire truck and using the fire hose.
